How to enable the supposed Secret Ending

To enable the supposed Secret Final, it is necessary to open the door of the Arena of the 15th colossus before facing Argus (Minotaur C). But for that, it will be necessary to hang on one of the birds that fly inside the huge crater (Arena of the 11th colossus) to "waste time" in the game's history, avoiding confrontation with the last colossus when traversing a supposed trail guarded in the Eastern Region of areas of the map covered by clouds. The terrible procedure is supposed to be done in the intervals of the 14th colossus and 15th colossus, where it begins in the Arena of the 11th colossus and ends in the Arena of the 15th colossus.

The Absurdly Insane Procedure

Tip 1: The supposed Secret Ending can only be released in Hard mode and initially requires the following requirements:

- Complete the Common Ending in Normal mode to release Hard mode, zeroing once.
- Complete the Common Ending in Hard mode to release the Hard Time Attack, clearing it once.
- Defeat 14 colossi in Hard Time Attack to acquire the Cloth of Desperation.

Tip 2: Reach the maximum level of stamina until the pink circle disappears completely from the game screen. Recommendations:

- In the first Hard mode gameplay, complete the game by only defeating the 16 colossus.
- In the second Hard Mode gameplay, complete the game by defeating the 16 colossi and killing 77 white-tailed lizards, getting their tails, as soon as you have the Lizard Detection Stone, fifth item purchased on the Hard Time Attack, as facilitates the search to find the lizards.
- In the third gameplay of Hard mode, repeat the same procedure of the second gameplay, defeating the 16 colossi and killing the 77 white-tailed lizards, getting their tails.
- In the fourth gameplay of Hard mode, just defeat the 14 colossi and go to the procedure site to try to release the Secret Ending.
- Or if you prefer not to hunt for lizards, you can repeatedly clear the game in Hard mode by defeating colossi.

Tip 3: Before facing the penultimate colossus (15th colossus), go to the crater, located in the Arena of the 11th Colossus, specifically in the F1 quadrant of the map. Do the following:

- Around the huge crater, find a dry tree (similar to Colossal Tree), where there are also several shoots (green leaves) around, as well as a dry plant.
- See the birds fly in the middle of the crater. Make sure that the Cloth of Desperation is activated in the "item" menu on the map screen.
- Birds fly on certain pre-determined trajectories. Sometimes the birds will fly in circles (giving 4 turns), close to the structure of the huge bridge. In this case, it is necessary to wait for the birds to arrive at the place of the procedure.
- Observe the approach of the birds, when they can come from the side or in front of them, in the place where awaits the arrival of the flock.
- When approaching the location of the procedure, focus on some bird you want to catch, preferably the bird that approaches the cliff further where Wander waits.
- Jump off the cliff and try to hang on the bird, before the Parachute opens (by pressing the R1 button only once.
- If you can not hang on a bird, repeat the procedure. Continue swimming through the lake, climb the dirt stairs and walk around the right side until you return to the procedure site where the dry tree and its shoots are.

In case of doubt, watch the video below that was made by me:

At the end of the secret passage, there may be an old cage-shaped elevator supported by cables that are interwoven with welded gears beneath the mysterious 15th-colossus Arena door, as shown in the image merely illustrated above. As you enter the elevator, the mysterious fortress's stone door can be pulled up and activate the gears that can pull the cables lifting the lift instead of the stone door itself. After that, save the game at the save point near the arena (Desert Fortress) and face the 15th colossus. After defeating it, the Secret Ending can be automatically released.

Finally, is the unsolvable case of Shadow of the Colossus solved?

ATTENTION: The procedure must be done correctly, because when achieving the feat of hanging on a bird, there is a possibility of a cutscene being released, if in case the Cloth of Desperation is activated in the "item" menu, and if the stamina is evolved to the maximum level. Otherwise, the procedure may be incorrect. That is, if the player hangs on a bird without activating the Parachute in the "item" menu, and use it only to soften the fall by approaching the ground (by pressing Start and activating it during the fall), or stamina not reach 100% of its evolution, the cutscene may not be released and will cause an anomaly in which Wander will immediately release the bird and will be locked without being able to open the Parachute (by activating it during the drop), as well as automatically switching any selected weapon to the Ancient Sword in the armory square, resulting in a situation where Wander will land the sword (movement when pressing R1 + square button during the jump) . On the other hand, if the procedure is performed outside the intervals of the 14th colossus and 15th colossus, when hanging on a bird, the Wander will release immediately from the bird in less than a second, since it can not hold onto these birds for long time, and there will be no such anomaly.

Why is not the procedure working?
HELL can begin here: What seems simple and easy may actually be "EXTREMELY INSANE". The procedure to release the supposed Secret Ending is terribly more complicated than previously thought. This procedure is so cruel that the player can take days, weeks, months, years or even never to hang on to a bird and there is the possibility of releasing a scene, as it requires a lot of skill and precision from the player, luck, otherwise the procedure can be performed thousands of times.

This procedure may be the most difficult thing that ever existed in game history, or we can say, the most impossible thing to release. That's because the model of these birds is totally different from the bird models that have scattered throughout the game. The difference is that these birds in the F1 quadrant of the map are hard to catch, while the other birds scattered throughout the game are flexible. This group of birds located in the F1 quadrant has been programmed to grab them when the R1 button is pressed at the exact moment that the Wander's left hand touches the top of the tail, ie there is no way to hold the R1 button before, and wait for the Wander to pick it up automatically, unlike birds scattered throughout the game that are easily grasped when the R1 button is held before, resulting in an attraction (like a magnet) between Wander's body and these birds. In addition, there is no specific method for performing the procedure. That is, the "Classic Method" that I use above in the video (and that I have been using for years) may or may not be the correct method because it is very difficult to understand which is the best and the true method to hang in this model of birds. So I have selected below some methods that I have been using until today:

- Classic Method: This is the method I use the most and is what I used above in the video. The method is to play from the cliff and hang on a bird before the Parachute opens, as the R1 button has two functions simultaneously. The first is the function of catching birds and other elements of the game and the second is the function of opening the Parachute.

- Conventional Method: This is the method I least use. The method consists of throwing off the cliff and throwing itself in the middle of the flock of birds opening the parachute and keeping it open by pressing the button O (ball) and then you have to keep pressing the R1 button several times to try to hang in a bird when the left hand touches the part of the tail. The most interesting of this method is to give the impression of being the correct method, since the game has two buttons to open the Parachute, the R1 button has a double function and the O button (ball) has the function of opening the Parachute , but does not have the function of grabbing things in the game.

- Enigmatic Method: It is the method that gives the impression of indicating in a "supposed" map of the Parachute. Watch:

That is, rainbow and 16th colossus icons may have appeared on the map in incorrect places, instead of the rainbow icon appearing in the I2 quadrant (where The Dam is located) and the 16th colossus icon appearing in the quadrant F8 (where the last colossus faces).

Returning to the spot where the bird leaves the Wander, after Wander loosens the bird, the bird returns to its place of origin (in the Arena of the 11th colossus), while Wander begins the trajectory to "waste time" in the history of the game. All that is left is for the player to control Wander, going forward underneath the dam aqueduct (as shown in the image below).

The bird may leave Wander in a place where there is a rainbow-shaped structure with orange boulders (as shown in the image above). After the scene, a new icon may appear on the map corresponding to the rainbow-shaped structure as the starting point of a new journey.

THE HISTORY OF NEW ICONS THAT APPEARED IN THE GAME

The story begins when a group of Brazilian players, long ago, recorded a video on youtube that showed these players using Codebreaker to search the mysteries of the game, and unintentionally, on a certain occasion of the game, they pressed Start and appeared to icon of a colossus in the East Region of inaccessible areas of the map (as shown in the image above to the left). Many speculated that it could be the icon of a mysterious 17th colossus, others claimed to be the icon of the legendary "Black Bird", others claimed to be the icon of one of the extra colossus, others said to be Dormin's, but the most plausible theory is that this icon is that of the 16th colossus, according to some players like Nomad Colossus and according to the relation that has with the "New Theory".

After this rather incredible discovery, player Tchollo Ventura, knowing this, used the code that increases to 24 colossus defeated and by the surprise appeared two icons on the map. The icon that appears to be that of a "rainbow" in the center of the map and the icon that appears to be that of the 16th colossus in the Inaccessible East Region. The video of his remark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JITweFc2srY&index=12&list=PLark0ly8nAGzkPTAAEGys9JAp9zBIelJr

Following with the "New Theory," the rainbow-like map icon is similar with the rainbow structure of the Dam.

In one of his videos, the player Tchollo Ventura had hacked the secret passage under the Arena of the 15th colossus, finding a supposed secret trail. The video of his remark: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGJaiaH9VY8

The player must follow a long trail, making the entire route through the East Inaccessible Region. During the course there may be places that have been seen before in the game, for example, the other side of the forest near the Arena of the 12th colossus, or even a pass over the bridge where the 12th colossus faces. At the end of the trajectory, there may be a path to be covered that will end in a secret passage, under the Desert Fortress (Arena of the 15th colossus), shown in the images below:

HEAVEN can start here: Anyway, if the procedure succeeds, by getting the enormous feat of catching some bird in the intervals of 14th colossus and 15th colossus, with the Parachute activated in the "item" menu and with the stamina evolved at its maximum level , there is a possibility of the game automatically releasing a cutscene that could show the bird that was caught taking Wander from the huge crater and taking it to a Dam, located in the East Region of the inaccessible areas of the map, in a long journey, in which the bird will also fly over the Arena of the 15th colossus passing through one of the flaws of the Forbidden Land seal, where the wind may have less intensity.

The Dam located in the East Inaccessible Region was an incredible discovery in 2009 by the player Pikol Uploaded through hacking when using a glitch of the Parachute that can only be done through Codebreaker in the game emulator. Illustrative image taken from the Nomad blog

In the image above, there is a map drawn on the Cloth of Desperation. The image is not very clear, but it seems to be a map of the Arena of the 11th colossus to perform the procedure of the supposed Secret Ending. In the parts of the map where letters have "L" shapes painted brown, there are two letter symbols "X" drawn inside the "L". The X-shaped symbols may refer to the Parachute, for when the Parachute opens, the ropes that support the body of the Wander open and form a letter X when the Parachute is seen from an aerial angle. In addition, the letters "L" can indicate the brown birds that when approaching the place of the procedure make a curve in letter L. That is, the procedure indicated in the map of the Parachute is that is to play in the middle of the flock opening the Parachute that is being indicated in the letter X inside a pink square, and to hang on a bird by pressing the R1 button during the closing of the Parachute when the fabric is folded, since the other letter X appears within a square of color brown, that is, this symbol is transparent implying that it is to close the Parachute.

As there is no specific method, the remedy is to try the three methods taking turns between one and the other over time.

To finish, these F1 quadrant birds are so terrible to grab, that even hacking players can not catch them using their tricks. That is to say, practically all hacking players will arrive at a single conclusion that these birds have no collision, that is, are phantasmagoric elements of the game, which are traversable, in which they would be considered only ornaments. However, what proves that these birds have a collision ("a bad collision"), is that besides being difficult to grasp (that can cause an anomaly in the intervals of the 14th colossus and 15th colossus), they can die at the base of the sword jump and attack some sword on the body of some bird, in which, this will result in the fall of that affected bird, while the rest of the flock will fly, giving endless turns near the supports of the enormous bridge, however, when leaving the crater, the dead bird will automatically be resurrected by the game and will be flying along with the flock again, normalizing the trajectories near the cliff at the place of the procedure. I say this from my own experience, for I have tested these birds myself, and have seized some of these birds very seldom, with much suffering. But I never managed to catch them with the Parachute activated in the "item" menu, only with the Parachute turned off. In addition, at the opening of the game, when Wander removes the Cloth of Desperation that covered Mono's corpse by throwing it back, before the cloth disappears, the fabric is kneaded on the floor. It is as if this fact were a supposed tip to try to hang in the birds with the fabric of the Parachute kneading in the air.

In the video below recorded by me, I show evidence that these birds have a collision, in which the bird dies when struck by the sword at 2 minutes and 35 seconds in the video.
